The Stratford Academy of Dance, L.L.C. located at 720 Barnum Ave. cut-off in Stratford is celebrating its 26th dance season this year.

For over two and a half decades, the school has been providing quality dance educations in the community and continues to grow and strive for excellence.

The highly qualified faculty hail from all backgrounds of collegiate dance education, professional dance companies and Broadway, fitness trainers, professional music backgrounds, artists, model/title winners, and psychologists. The school offers classes of all types from classical dance and hip hop to musical theatre, baby and child oriented programs, creative painting, modeling, fitness classes, and ballroom. Recent additions to the curriculum are cheerleading workshops and preschool/kindergarten ABC Hop.

The school also offers exciting Master Dance and Agency workshops to help students be introduced to and break into "the biz".

Ages three thru adult may enjoy a warm friendly atmosphere with our caring professional faculty, while learning their favorite technique or just having fun.  The school offers two types of dance programs, Recreational and Company.

In the Recreational program, students perform in the Holiday performance and the Annual Recital. In the Dance Company students perform not only in the schools' Recital, but also several times a year thru community events and Regional and National Talent Competitions.  2007 also marks the 2nd year of the schools Honor Society Chapter.  In the 2005-06 dance season, the school established the 1st CT Chapter of the National Dance Honor Society, Nu Delta Alpha. The NDA members host community events as advocates for dance and to raise money for the Stratford Academy of Dance Scholarship fund. The next step is to be able to participate or even host events for other local or National charities which support dance and the arts.  They also have the opportunity to network with other Chapters across the U.S. on High School and University levels.  A member must excel in both academics and dance.  This years' chapter of Nu Delta Alpha consists of 13 members of the schools Senior level Dance Company and hail from Middle and High schools throughout Fairfield County.

Stratford Academy of Dance is proud to welcome each and every dancer into their "family" and give them the highest quality of education possible. The reinforcement of physical fitness, motor skills, focus and memory, gives children and teenagers the discipline to become a serious student in their academic studies, as well as their dance education and gives adults a remedy from the "day to day", a chance to explore another side of your personality or just perhaps become reacquainted with the old one.

In 2006, three veterans (OK, old guys) of the New England Bluegrass and acoustic music scene got together to form The Bristol Boys to play country and bluegrass music from the 1920s, 1930s, 1940s, and early 1950s. The songs may be old, but when The Bristol Boys sing them, they sound as fresh as the day they were written.

With their musical pedigrees and penchant for cutting up and having fun along with the audience, The Bristol Boys are ready to entertain at concerts, festivals, fairs, pie suppers, barn raisings, garage sales, etc.

Their shows are guaranteed good.

Bryan Lizotte is a full-time magician who has been performing magic professionally since 1991.  He is a member of I.B.M (International Brotherhood of Magicians) Ring #59 of New Haven, CT. and S.A.M. (Society of American Magicians) Assembly #131 of Danbury, CT.

Bryan's specialty is close-up, but he also performs children's birthday magic shows and adult stand-up magic shows.
